News from Shalstone

ST EDWARD THE CONFESSOR - By the time you read this, Revd. Liz Simpson’s final service should have taken place in Turweston; she will be preparing to take up her new role as Vicar of Adderbury with Milton in Oxfordshire after serving our Benefice of West Buckingham for 16 years.

During this time, Liz has become a good and valued friend and minister to parishioners and church congregations. We will miss the cheerful, objective and positive approach she brought to her roles and her willing involvement in the many and varied parish activities over the years. I’m sure we all wish her well as she moves on to new and exciting challenges.

CREAM TEA- Once again we were lucky with the weather for the village cream tea. It was good to see so many villagers with extended family at Home Farm on 7th July, and to welcome recent arrivals to Shalstone. Thank you all for your generosity, which helped to raise £250 for church funds.
