West Buckiingham Benefice Choir

The West Buckingham Benefice Choir

Under the musical direction of Ed Grimsdale and our resident organist Mike Tinsley, on Good Friday, the choir presented a meditation on Christ on the Rood, an anglo-saxon poem on the Cross of Christ. With music, poetry and scripture readings, the intensity and commitment brought to the music was impressive. Eleanor Zuercher chose and presented the readings which fitted with the music selection perfectly, all together bringing home the raw awfulness of the events of that original Good Friday. The choir have never sung better technically, or with such feeling.

You can see photos of the choir in the Photo Gallery

The choir is always looking out for new members. It does not require a huge commitment. We sing at the Benefice services on the second Sunday of the month and give the occasional concert. Rehearsals are normally twice a month on a Thursday evening. So if you would like to have a go at singing and would like further information, please contact
