More information regarding Biddlesen HERE
The village was so pleased that Paula was able to experience a Biddlesden Carol Service and we hope she enjoyed it as much as we all did. Our thanks to John, Christine and Sooty Price for the après Church gathering...always a wonderful start to the festive season and as ever their generous hospitality knew no bounds.
Several villagers have not enjoyed the best of health recently and we send them get well wishes...and please don't forget to ask if the rest of us can do anything to help.
The bridge has been repaired yet again and just one of the many pot holes...why just one we know not. The snowdrops are out in force so we look forward to welcoming Spring...eventually.
Long standing residents will I am sure be sorry to hear of the passing of Liz Tustian who for many years farmed with her husband Brian at Oatleys Farm, Turweston before they retired to Devon. One of the first Organic Farms in the area and a winner of the Silver Lapwing Award for Conservation work. Liz was born in London, evacuated to Norfolk, trained as an Occupational Therapist, and then worked in various Midland hospitals including Oxford where she met her husband, Brian. They married in 1967 and Liz became part of the local community, playing tennis and badminton, singing in various choirs, Church bell ringing etc. etc. always keen to help...Although a busy mother of three and grandmother of nine, Liz always still found the time to produce the family Christmas card every year and to provide the illustrations for the three farming books Brian has written. She will be much missed and we send our sympathies to Brian and family.
